FAQs

OUR HOLIDAY ORDER DEADLINE HAS PASSED. If you order on or after December 8th we cannot guarantee that your order will arrive in time for Christmas. We will continue making and shipping orders through the holidays.

When will my item ship?

*Transit times do not include processing times. All items are handmade to order. Current processing times are 3-10 business days.

Orders are put into production once a week on Mondays and ship by Friday at the latest. Orders placed on or after Monday will not go into production until the following week.

Unfortunately, WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS RUSH ORDERS at this time, thank you for your patience.

How do I know my ring size?

All of our rings are handmade to order in your size and fit true to size. If you do not know your size we highly recommend getting sized by a jeweler; even places like Target or Kohls can size you. Another option is to purchase one of these sizers that we can mail to you: https://midnightjo.com/products/multisizer

We DO NOT recommend sizing at home or using the print out sizers that you actually use on your finger because they tend to be inaccurate. While some of our rings can be resized for the cost of shipping, many will require a restocking fee and others cannot be resized.

Rings that do not require a restocking fee are as follows; wrap around or traditional closed (overlapping ends) spoon rings that do not require a large size difference. Sometimes on traditional closed spoon rings sizing up can reveal marring/scratch type damage where the overlap was.

Rings that will require a 20% restocking fee (plus the cost of shipping) in order to be resized are as follows; Closed style flush cut (no overlapping ends) spoon rings, sterling silver spoon rings, demitasse spoon rings (unless you are fine with marring/indent damage on the spoon bowl area) coin rings that require a size difference of one full size or higher.

Rings that cannot be resized are as follows; we do not recommend resizing rings that have been custom engraved, though we are willing to try and have had success resizing them by 1/2 size or less. Resizing engraved rings can cause warping or tearing of the engraving. We cannot resize any soldered rings.

How should I care for my jewelry?

You can see our jewelry care instructions here

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, we do! You can add gift wrapping to your order by adding this item to your purchase. You can also include a custom note that we will hand write on a gift card. Just leave your note at checkout in the "Special instructions for seller" area.

Can you choose a certain year on a State or National Park coin ring?

Each State and Park was only minted one year. If you would like to change the date on your ring you can add this item to your purchase.

Is it legal to make jewelry out of coins?

The United States code states it is only illegal if done for fraudulent reasons. The key word being fraudulent, you are only violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. You know those souvenir penny smashers? Those are legal and so is making jewelry from coins.

Will this ring turn my finger green?

Some of our coin rings are made out of everyday coins which are copper/nickel clad and are likely to turn your fingers green. Our optional, yet unfortunately not permanent, solution to this problem is powder coating which can be added to your purchase, or you can coat the inside of your ring with clear nail polish.

The best solution to this problem is to order your ring in silver if available (coins made after 1992 are available in silver). If you are sensitive to sulfur or sulfites the antique finish may cause skin discoloration.

While it isn't typical silver plated spoon rings can cause skin discoloration as the silver is only a plating and where the piece is cut it can expose base metal.

Does my order qualify for free shipping?

Free 1st class shipping is valid on purchases over $35 within the United States only. We only ship within the United States.
